The Halijah Legacy
A Legacy of Service, Compassion and Community Trust
Halijah Funeral Services Singapore (HFS) was established to continue the Halijah name’s long-standing commitment to serving the Muslim community with sincerity, dignity and care.
The Halijah name is closely associated with service to the community, particularly through Halijah Travels and its connection with Haj and Umrah services. Over the years, the Halijah family witnessed the importance of trusted funeral support for Muslim families, especially during moments of loss, uncertainty and urgency.
Today, Razaly Osman leads HFS and continues the legacy of service. Under his and Zulkefeli Hassan’s leadership, HFS provides comprehensive Muslim funeral management, bereavement support and international repatriation services for families in Singapore and beyond.

A Message from Our Director
Funeral Service Is an Amanah
“Serving the deceased is not merely a profession. It is an amanah entrusted to us by Allah.
Every person deserves to be treated with dignity, respect and compassion on their final journey, while every family deserves guidance and support during their time of grief.”
Message:
Assalamu’alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh,
Serving the deceased and supporting bereaved families has been a significant part of my life’s journey for more than two decades. What began as a humble introduction to funeral service in 2005 has become a lifelong commitment to preserving the dignity of the deceased and assisting families through one of life’s most challenging moments.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of learning from respected pioneers in Singapore’s Muslim funeral industry, serving families from all walks of life, managing international repatriation cases across multiple countries and contributing to community education through Jenazah Management programmes.
Every individual deserves to be treated with honour and respect, regardless of status or background. Every family also deserves proper guidance, support and assurance throughout the funeral process. These principles continue to guide me in my work today.
I am deeply grateful to the late Almarhum Haji Abdul Hamid Jandad, as well as Haji Hussin Abdul Hamid and Haji Haffidz Abdul Hamid, for the trust and confidence they have placed in me to lead Halijah Funeral Services Singapore Pte. Ltd. Together, we remain committed to serving the community with sincerity, integrity and excellence.
As Director of Halijah Funeral Services, I look forward to continuing this amanah while ensuring that every family entrusted to our care receives the highest standards of service and support.
Muhammad Razaly Osman is a funeral practitioner, entrepreneur and community educator with more than 20 years of experience in Islamic funeral management, bereavement care and international repatriation services.
Since beginning his journey in the funeral profession in 2005, Razaly has served thousands of families, managed complex funeral arrangements and built a reputation as a trusted figure within Singapore’s Muslim funeral industry.
Razaly’s journey began while he was actively volunteering at Masjid Al-Istighfar as an Audio Visual personnel. During this period, he met Haji Yamin Ismail, who became his first mentor and introduced him to the Muslim funeral industry.
Through Persekutuan Kebajikan Islam Telok Kurau Singapura, Razaly learned the practical and religious aspects of Islamic funeral management. He gained hands-on experience in funeral operations, caring for the deceased and supporting bereaved families.
He later continued expanding his knowledge under other respected practitioners and organisations in Singapore’s Muslim funeral sector, including Persatuan Kebajikan Sinaran Baharu and Jasa Budi Muslim Casket.
In 2009, Razaly was involved in the establishment of Al-Amanah Funeral Services. This gave him valuable exposure to funeral operations, administration, business development and organisational management.
After completing National Service with the Singapore Police Force, Razaly joined Singapore Muslim Casket & Marble Contractors Pte. Ltd. / Serbaguna Muslim Funeral Services Pte. Ltd., where he further developed his expertise in large-scale funeral operations, bereavement care and international repatriation services.
Throughout his career, Razaly has been entrusted with numerous high-profile, nationally significant and international funeral arrangements, including:
- State-assisted and ceremonial funeral arrangements
- International repatriation cases involving Singaporeans and foreign nationals
- Funeral arrangements for prominent community leaders, scholars, asatizah and public figures
- Funeral support for families of public servants, senior officials and distinguished individuals
- Complex bereavement care and cross-border coordination cases
His dedication to Islamic funeral care and community education was also recognised in The Straits Times feature article, “Showering the Dead with Respect,” published on 4 March 2019.
Beyond funeral operations, Razaly remains actively involved in community education and public awareness. He regularly supports and conducts Jenazah Management courses, seminars and educational programmes to help individuals understand Islamic funeral rites, end-of-life preparation and the responsibilities involved in caring for deceased loved ones.
Through these initiatives, HFS continues to empower families with knowledge while preserving the traditions and values of Islamic funeral practices for future generations.
